Hollywood Peel is the application of specialised laser energy to reduce visible skin pigmentation, improve skin tone and more. Hollywood Peel not only improves uneven pigment, but can also reduce the appearance of textural irregularities and fine lines. The laser energy works in two ways, first it gently targets the melanin (pigmentation) in the cells breaking it up for your body’s natural removal processes, and second it heats the deeper levels in the dermis causing the skin to contract and stimulate collagen production.

What to expect during your treatment

Your practitioner will apply a light layer of Spectra lotion to your skin, this lotion has a carbon base, so your skin will look as if you are wearing a mud mask. The practitioner will begin treatment, by applying the laser energy over the skin surface: multiple passes are needed in order to obtain optimal results. Clients will hear slight snapping sounds when the laser is fired and may feel a slight tingling or warmth on the surface of the skin.

Does a Hollywood Peel hurt?

The majority of patients report no pain, they only experience a slight warming of their skin and a light prickling feeling. Typically, no anaesthesia or topical cream is required.
