What is vein removal?

Millions of women and men are troubled by unattractive spider veins on their faces and legs. The veins are estimated that more than 75% of females over the age of 18 have spider veins.

These red, blue or purple thread-like lines may develop on any part of the body including the face, but most often appear on the thighs, calves or buttocks.

They are harmless and not associated with any symptoms and pain sensations.

Over time small veins can become fragile or injured, this causes the blood to pool and become more visible on the surface of the skin.
Causes of this are varied but can be attributed to Sun Damage, Trauma, Hormonal changes, Consistent dilation from environmental or internally related factors, hereditary traits or diet.

How does it work?

We use an ND Yag Laser to target the blood cells that have pooled within the vessel. The light is absorbed causing a heat reaction that breaks down the capillary wall. The body's immune system will then work to disperse the remaining cells and reduce the visibility on the surface.

How long does the treatment last?

The treatment usually takes 15 – 30 minutes depending on the size and number of veins. Larger areas with more broken capillaries may need more treatments.

How many treatment do I need

The number of treatments needed varies. There will be an improvement in the visibility of the vessel after one treatment however the veins can re break. Therefore a course of treatments is recommended  with 4 weeks in-between each session.

Aftercare of Vitamin C and SPF is advised to aid and protect blood vessels and the barrier function of the skin.
