How does the Laser Carbon treatment work?

The dermis layer of the skin naturally begins to show signs of age and synthesises less collagen over the course of time.

The carbon based lotion is applied and then laser energy is passed over the treatment zone in multiple passes to ensure full penetration.

The laser energy breaks up pigments and heats the deep levels of dermis encouraging 'fibroplasia,' and new collagen is formed in the targeted area.

Laser Carbon

The Laser Carbon, also know as the Hollywood Peel, is a no-downtime procedure that helps rejuvenate the appearance of ageing, damaged skin. This is a gentle procedure that is safe on most skin types. It is a great rejuvenating without the longer downtime associated with other laser procedures: evening skin tone, reducing the appearance of pigment, fine lines and acne scars.

The perfect solution

  • Reduces or eliminates the appearance of pigment, fine lines and acne scaring

  • Long-term results

  • No downtime

  • Safe for most skin types

  • Evens out skin tone

  • Quick and comfortable procedure

  • No daily messy creams

The treatment can be performed alone, but works best when you have several treatments over a period of time.

Expect dramatic results with the Laser Carbon

The Laser Carbon is the application of specialised laser energy to reduce visible skin pigmentation, improve skin tone and more. It not only improves uneven pigment, but can also reduce the appearance of textural irregularities and fine lines. The laser energy works in two ways, first it gently targets the melanin (pigmentation) in the cells breaking it up for your body’s natural removal processes, and second it heats the deeper levels in the dermis causing the skin to contract and stimulate collagen production.

What to expect during your treatement

Your practitioner will apply a light layer of Spectra lotion to your skin, this lotion has a carbon base, so your skin will look as if you are wearing a mud mask. The practitioner will begin treatment, by applying the laser energy over the skin surface: multiple passes are needed in order to obtain optimal results. Clients will hear slight snapping sounds when the laser is fired and may feel a slight tingling or warmth on the surface of the skin.

Does the Laser Carbon hurt?

The majority of patients report no pain, they only experience a slight warming of their skin and a light prickling feeling. Typically, no anaesthesia or topical cream is required.
